The Daily Astorian
As the title of this post read “Yesteryears” I’m referring to the days I photographed with 35mm film early in my career.
The Daily Astorian at the time is a 10,000 circulation six-day newspaper on the northern coast of Oregon. Astoria is where explorers Lewis & Clark set camp which is known as Ft. Clatsop and first saw the Pacific Ocean near Seaside, Ore. Astoria is also known for popular movies filmed there such as Goonies and Kindergarten Cop.
Astoria is where the mouth of the Columbia River meets Pacific Ocean waters and a five-mile expansion bridge crosses over to Washington state.
